Crossmarx Awarded 2008

Crossmarx began in 1995 with the mission to develop an application engine that would enable non-programmers to build their application themselves.  Over the years Crossmarx has, together with its clients, tested and improved the Application Engine.  Some of the earliest customers include NS Solo, KLM Cargo, Nuon, Eneco, VODW, Does Cadushi Travel & Tours, British Telecom, Natuurmonumenten, & Fortis.  Hundreds of users now make daily use of various applications, mostly in the Netherlands, but a significant part throughout the world.

The Application Engine is now patented and one of the most flexible solutions on the market today.

Studio Smack: Me

Ton Meijdam, Thom Snels and Béla Zsigmond formed Studio Smack in 2005. All three of them studied at the AKV/St. Joost in Breda (Art Academy). Studio Smack produces work that upon first analysis has an autonomous value, but often also responds to developments in society; the so-called Design for Debate. At the moment they are working on two of their own projects: the series 'Kapitein Reetneus' and rock opera 'Egonaut'.

Some of their clients have been VARA, VPRO and MTV NL, Graphic Design Museum, Graphic Design Festival Breda, Festival Mundial, ON, Museum for Popular Science Museon.

Their work is internationally appreciated and has earned several awards.
