The first kick-off meeting with the HIV[e]Education program in Malawi was held in June 2008 in collaboration with Dignitas International. In response to the HIV/AIDS emergency, a group of international health experts founded Dignitas International, a medical humanitarian organization dedicated to providing a quality of life with dignity for children, youth and families affected by HIV/AIDS in the developing world.
35 healthcare workers recieved a USB memory stick with the HIV[e]Education program included. These healthcare workers work for Dignitas, as well as in the health centers of the Ministry of Health in the Zomba district. Since the participating centers were not all equipped with computers, Health[e]Foundation donated 10 computers to facilitate a successful training program.
On 24 October 2009 a new group of healthcare workers completed their training in HIV[e]Education. Negotiations are ongoing for providing Pediatric HIV[e]Education to the healthcare workers who finished HIV[e]Education.
