Thailand Kickoff 2004
First program participants see how HIV[e]Education works

Thailand

Health[e]Foundation started the first pilot program of HIV[e]Education in Chiang Mai, Thailand in November 2003 together with the Harvard Perinatal Transmission Program, and trained 52 physicians and clinical research nurses.

Since then, Health[e]Foundation has provided several trainings in Thailand in cooperation with HIV Netherlands, Australia, Thailand AIDS Research Collaboration (HIV-NAT) and International Child Support (ICS) and is looking forward to expanding its programs in the region.

Doctors and nurses are eligible to receive CNEU credits for completion of workshops and/or courses.  For a workshop nurses receive 10 credits and 40 credits for the entire course from the council of nursing.

"This is the first time in my life that I attend a workshop. I learn so much, I did not know these meetings existed and that I can learn from the computer. I am really excited."
(Program Participant, April 2010)
