Thailand HIVNAT Symposium 2008

HIVNAT 2008

In January 2008 Health[e]Foundation attended the 11th Bangkok Symposium on HIV Medicine, which was organized by HIV Netherlands, Australia, Thailand AIDS Research Collaboration (HIV-NAT). The symposium aims to provide updated information on HIV treatments and research for physicians and allied health professionals. An expert faculty of speakers from Thailand, the Asian region, the United States, Europe and Australia, presents a comprehensive review of current HIV management. The symposium also aims to stimulate debate through a series of panel discussions on issues such as access to care and the cost of ARV in developing countries.

Health[e]Foundation was given the opportunity to present the program during one of the workshops and to show some of our interactive exercises. The participants of the workshop gave a very positive response. During this meeting, contacts were renewed and Dr. Jintanat Ananworanich and Dr. Thanyawee Puthanakit commited themselves to writing the Thailand specific modules which were implemented in the platform of HIV[e]Education.

Thailand: HIV[e]Education in Thai

HIVNAT 2009: HIV[e]Education in Thai

Thanks to HIVNAT staff all modules, figures, tables and questions of HIV[e]Education have been translated into Thai and adjusted to the Asian context. During the HIVNAT symposium in early January, a kickoff was organized and made accessible to all symposium attendants. 55 new participants registered and received a personalized USB stick to complete HIV[e]Education.  The closing workshop in the beginning of September 2009 included several expert Thai speakers.  You may read the presentations given at the workshop by clicking on the links below.
