Sixty four participants from Kampala City Clinics joined the TB training at a kickoff in March 2009 after finishing their HIV[e]Education training the previous December.
All but four participants were able to finish their TB modules. Evaluations
came back with good results, saying the program was much needed. The focus
groups were filled with positive reactions.
The June 2009 closing workshop was a fun-filled program including two full days where many lessons learned
during the computer-based learning period were put into practice. The Turning
Point voting system showed an immense gain in knowledge. During the kickoff in March, less than 40 percent were able to answer the questions well. Results at the workshop showed that more than 75% answered 75% of the questions right and 10% had all questions answers correctly.

In December 2008, a group of more than 90 healthcare workers from the Kampala City Council (KCC) in Uganda completed the HIV[e]Education course with a final workshop. They were a particularly engaged group, attentively listening and interacting during each and every presentation. We were pleased to hand out a certificate to all participants.
It was also a great pleasure to have many familiar speakers on the agenda,
of which several have been participants themselves and/or are authors of the
modules in HIV[e]Education. To continue the successful training of KCC personnel,
some of the current participants will be asked to become mentors for subsequent
trainings.
The KCC training was a successful collaboration with INTERACT. It is thanks to their active involvement and donation of computers to the health
centers that people were able to complete the computer-based course.
