Project Manager (0,8 fte)

 

To be able to continue to grow and extend our training activities we are looking for a professional and creative Project Manager.
 
Based in Amsterdam, you will be the first contact person for local training partners and training coordinators in Africa and Asia. You will be responsible for the management of projects in several countries, which includes organization of onsite workshops, monitoring, and the development of training activities. You will maintain and expend our network of sponsors and other partners.
 
Health[e]Foundation is a not-for-profit organization based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. It was established in the belief that a good healthcare system is essential for sound social-economic growth in developing countries.
 
Health[e]Foundation focuses on sustainable training and education of healthcare workers in the care for patients with poverty-related diseases (HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria) by means of an e-learning system in resource poor settings.

Your tasks:

  •  Responsible for day-to-day operational aspects of onsite training activities; including budgeting
  •  Contact person and representative of Health[e]Foundation for onsite training partners
  •  Maintain close contact with local training partners
  •  Effectively apply the methodology of blended learning as developed by Health[e]Foundation
  •  Monitoring and evaluation of training activities
  •  Increase exposure by contributing to the bimonthly newsletter, the website, and through presentations during meetings and conferences
  •  Active acquisition of possible training partners and sponsors

Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years working experience
  • Proven affinity with healthcare and training activities
  • Work experience in non-western countries is strongly desired
  • Proven project management and leadership skills
  • Trouble shooter
  • Open and clear communicator
  • Excellent writing and verbal skills in Dutch and English, a 2nd foreign language is desirable
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Able to handle numerous tasks simultaneously and work with deadlines
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • A flexible personality, but also the ability to make instant decisions
  • Willing to travel also during weekends as a part of the job
