Health[e]Foundation offers a Scientific writing e-learning course in collaboration with the International AIDS Society (IAS). Authored by the former editors of the Journal of the International AIDS Society, Drs. Shirin Heidari and Mirjam Curno. Often, less experienced authors, non-English native speakers and those from resource-limited settings are at a disadvantage when writing abstracts and articles which lead to underrepresentation of these groups at conferences and publishing in journals. The aim of this course is to support researchers in successfully disseminating their findings in order to contribute to our global knowledge base and strengthen the skills of young and/or less-experienced authors.
The e-learning program consists of four modules on writing a conference abstract, write and submit a research manuscript and how to navigate the editorial and peer review process. It includes exercises and examples. The first module has been made freely available.
Everyone who would like to write and submit an abstract or manuscript.
