March 8th, International Women's Day

Worldwide, women continue to contribute to social, economic, cultural and political achievement. Health[e]Foundation joins the pledge for parity. 

Looking forward to the Health Event

This year Health[e]Foundation will organize a fabulous Las Vegas Brunch in collaboration with UNICEF in the W Hotel in Amsterdam. The proceeds from this evening will go to the Health[e]Families project, to train more midwives in maternal and newborn health!


Health[e]Families project Ethiopia

In the second week of February 2016 project manager Tirza de Lange and managing director Dr. Nadine Pakker visited Addis Ababa and met with our local partners; the Federal Ministry of Health, the Ethiopian Medical Association, the Ethiopian Midwives Association and the Regional Health Bureau.


Success in Elandsdoorn

In the last week of February, two follow-up workshops of the Health[e]Living program were initiated in Elandsdoorn, South Africa. In collaboration with Ndlovu Care Group, the program has been a great success.




Refugee Care[e]Education online!

To make sure refugees will receive the best care possible Health[e]Foundation is developing an online course freely accessible for all healthcare professionals. The Refugee Care[e]Education course will mainly concentrate on the mental health problems refugees are facing. It will provide healthcare professionals with background information and help them to adequately recognize mental health problems, and if necessary refer to the right support system.


Africa Healthcare Summit 2016

The 3rd Annual Africa Healthcare Summit was organized in London on the 17th and 18th of February. The main topics of the conference were future plans of African countries concerning the pillars of healthcare; health service delivery, human resources, financing, insurance and e-health. A wide range of professionals visited the conference, from Ministers of Health and NGO’s to private companies.
