About this course

HIV[e]Education was created to provide healthcare workers with complete and up-to-date information on all aspects of the treatment and care for people living with HIV. This course is one of the most extensive training programs we offer. It covers HIV prevention and diagnosis; treatment of HIV; adherence; mother to child transmission; palliative care; initiation, principles, toxicity and management of antiretroviral therapy (ART); mental health; vaccines; and many more relevant topics.

Who is this course for?

HIV[e]Education is for medical professionals working in clinical practices that focus on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of HIV. Medical doctors, general practitioners and health officers will benefit from this course.

What you will learn

The course consists of 24 modules about HIV, written by renowned experts. After completing the HIV[e]Education course, you will be up-to-date about all aspects of HIV prevention, and the care and treatment of people living with HIV. The course will empower you to improve the quality of the care you give to your patients. It will support you to test people for HIV; diagnose HIV infection; counsel individuals; and prescribe ART for people living with HIV. Your knowledge of HIV will increase and you will learn about the importance of continuum of care. You will be more aware of mental health problems, stigma and discrimination that can disrupt the continuity of care for HIV infected persons.
