News / New course: CBPR[e]Education in collaboration with AFEW
A couple of months ago we started a (re)new(ed) collaboration with the AIDS Foundation East West (AFEW), an international network of civil society organizations that is dedicated to improving the health of key populations, with a special focus on Eastern Europe and Central Asia. As the HIV epidemic continues to grow in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, new, more relevant, interventions are needed to address this public health concern. Involving members of key population communities in research will give an inside opportunity to identify needs. In a framework of activities to intensify engagement of Eastern Europe and Central Asia during the International AIDS Conference 2018 in Amsterdam, AFEW, with the financial support of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is starting a community based participatory research (CBPR) program. Health[e]Foundation is developing the e-learning course that is part of that program, with the goal to equip community based organizations and community members with tools and resources to conduct community based participatory research.
Health[e]Foundation is developing 8 e-learning modules on community based participatory research which will be offered to the participants of this research program on- and offline at the three day face to face training on 8, 9 and 10 November 2016 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
